Darien, IL - Hinsdale South High School today proudly announced that its Director of Counseling Michael Holland was selected to receive the Excellence in Service Award for Guidance and Admissions Assembly by the 13-state Midwestern region of the College Board.
The College Board is the organization that administers the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Advanced Placement (AP) Program.

Holland received the award at the Midwestern Regional Forum held in Chicago last week. According to the College Board, this award recognizes an educator in counseling or admissions who demonstrates leadership in facilitating student transition between secondary and postsecondary education.
There are three Excellence in Service awards. Each recognizes a professional from a member institution for exemplary contributions to and achievement. Award recipients must be from a member institution; demonstrate significant positive impacts on their profession and colleagues; exhibit leadership and service; mentor, inspire and/or motivate others; participate and contribute to the Midwestern regional and College Board forums, workshops, conferences and activities; and demonstrate a positive contribution to the mission and focus of an appropriate assembly.
