Onyx is a six-year-old male cat, who weighs 12.6 pounds. He was abandoned by his owner who moved to Texas. He was found by the owner's son who came to take some things out of his father's home and brought to the Hinsdale Humane Society.
"He's a sweet boy," said Jeanine Vaughn, the feline care supervisor at the Hinsdale Humane Society. "He's not a lapcat, but he wants to be near people."
Vaughn said that Onyx just wants to be loved and likes to snuggle after he gets to know someone. He is neutered and has lived with two other cats and a dog and reportedly got along well with all of them.
