New Hinsdale Luxury Car Dealership Planned
Village officials liked the proposal, with one saying it is "really cool."

HINSDALE, IL – The executives behind a new Hinsdale car dealership in the works say they don't want the traditional lot.
Mouse Automotive is planning a McLaren dealership for the northwest corner of Ogden Avenue and Salt Creek Lane.
The "entry price" for a McLaren is $237,500, according to the dealership.

One of the key differences from other dealerships is that the entire inventory of cars will be inside a proposed two-story building, executives said.
The Plan Commission approved the plan, and no neighbors objected.

Last week, the Village Board looked at the dealership's proposal, setting a vote for June 13.
"We're proposing one of the biggest McLaren dealerships in the world," Mike Marzano, Mouse's general manager, told trustees. "We want to build something that is not your traditional dealership experience. We want to put the dealership on the map. In a way, it puts Hinsdale on the map. It's a different buying experience."
The Village Board liked the plan.
"I'm very much in favor of this project," Trustee Scott Banke said.
Trustee Luke Stifflear said, "There is no way to say this more eloquently, but I just think the building will be really cool. It's going to be a head-turner for people driving on Ogden Avenue."
Mouse, which is in Chicago, has projected it will sell 300 cars a year in Hinsdale.
In September, Marzano told the Village Board that increasing Chicago crime was the reason the business wants to move to Hinsdale.
In 2012, an old two-story office building on the site in question was torn down.
