New Oak Street Bridge Slated to Open Dec. 1 to Traffic

Drivers are asked to avoid the construction zone area until the bridge opens.

Cars and traffic should be able to flow across the new Oak Street bridge on Dec. 1.

The final touches are being added to the bridge, such as street stripes, signage and decorative masonry, according to the Oak Street Bridge Project.

Final landscaping should be in place spring 2016.

Temporary fencing will be installed for four to six weeks while final fencing is made to match the Hinsdale Metra stations, according to the project.
