Oak Street Bridge to Open to Hospital Traffic

Bridge to open early next week to hospital traffic and open to the public in December.

Early next week, Oak Street from the bridge to Walnut Street is scheduled to be reopened to hospital traffic in both directions.

Traffic exiting thorough the hospital’s main exit will no longer be routed down Hillgrove Avenue. Please note that Hillgrove remains closed to through traffic. Additionally, the intersection of Oak Street and Walnut will be fully opened and the detour through that intersection will be removed.

County Line Road is scheduled to be resurfaced next week. Metra commuters who typically park along County Line Road will need utilize other available parking until the resurfacing operation is complete. Commuters will be notified by the Hinsdale Police Department when parking along County Line is available.

Please note that there may be equipment idling for short periods of time during construction. The compact nature of this project site makes it difficult for trucks to deliver and remove materials to and through the job site efficiently, occasionally causing delays and idle equipment.
