Obituary: Warren J. Boehm

Warren was a retired Indian Head Park Police officer.

Warren J. Boehm

Age 92, of Minooka, Illinois passed peacefully, early Sunday morning, December 22, 2024 at home.

Warren was born September 17, 1932 to the late Bernice (Hubka) and Andrew Boehm in Chicago, Illinois where he was raised and educated, a graduate of J. Sterling Morton High School in Cicero.

A retired Indian Head Park Police officer, Warren never stopped working. He was the owner operator of Boehm Trenching and also drove a semi which he truly enjoyed, possibly as much as fishing. Warren was blessed to have the ability to take annual trips to Lake of the Woods, Nestor Falls Island in Ontario Canada to fish from August to October. Other hobbies included flying his 108 Stinson and volunteering often for Church functions at his parish, St. Mary Catholic Church in Minooka.

He is survived by his loving wife, of Doris A. (Butler) Boehm; step-sons, Bruce (Susan) Butler of Marseilles and Brett Butler of Carbondale; step-grandchildren, Kay, Dana, Ryan and Wyatt; several step great-grandchildren. One niece and three great nieces also survive, as well as his faithful canine companions, Duke Wayne and Bella Joe.

Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Arlene (late Tom) Jansky.

Warren was also a member of LOTM #300 (Joliet Moose Lodge) and the former Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter #95.

All friends and relatives are invited to gather at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minooka on Friday January 10, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until Warren's Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the columbarium at St. Mary's cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to the building fund at St. Mary's or the charity of your choice.
