Only Hinsdale Liquor License Problem This Year: Village
The village fined a restaurant $1,000 and suspended its liquor license for three days, according to records.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale has handed down penalties for only one liquor license violation this year, according to its records.
Recently, Patch filed a public records request for correspondence related to liquor license violations since Jan. 1. The village produced documents related to a situation with Casa Margarita, 25 E. Hinsdale Ave.
In early February, Casa Margarita settled with the village after two police officers witnessed an employee in December serve liquor to a customer under 21, according to village records. In the agreement, the restaurant was fined $1,000 and its liquor license was suspended for three days, from Feb. 7 to Feb. 9.

In a Feb. 5 email, Bradley Bloom, the village's assistant manager, informed the Village Board of the agreement.
"Casa Margarita has accepted this penalty and chosen not to contest the charges," he said. "This is the first liquor code violation for Casa Margarita."

A Casa Margarita employee was cited on a charge of unlawfully selling alcohol to a person under 21.
