Walgreens Thief Swipes Condoms, Baby Formula; Teen Arrested for Possession of Xanax: Hinsdale Police Blotter

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter throughout the past week.
Retail theft
- An unknown man allegedly stole a $25 box of condoms and a $14 container of baby formula from the Walgreens at 15 Grant Square around 2 p.m. Jan. 17, according to an employee who witnessed the theft. The suspect was described as a white male wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, a black baseball hat and brown work boots.
DUI

- Kyle R. Payne, a Des Plaines resident, was stopped at 2:49 a.m. Jan. 17 for speeding around the area of Madison Street and 55th Street. After stopping him, police suspected he was drunk and took him to Hinsdale Hospital, where he submitted to blood and urine tests. He was charged and released with a court date.
Fraud
- One Hinsdale resident who works at Digestive Disease Associates on York Road told police that sometime between 2:50 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 23, someone stole her credit cards, ATM card, driver’s license and $1 were taken from her cellphone case that was left in an unlocked cupboard during her work shift. After realizing the cards were gone, the woman said she noticed someone had used her credit card to buy $803.70 worth of goods and had withdrawn $1,003 from her bank account. Police are still investigating the incident.
Drugs

- An unnamed suspect was stopped by police at 3:39 p.m. Jan. 21 on Ogden Avenue because of improper registration. When he was stopped, the man told police he had marijuana in his car and cops searched the vehicle to find drug paraphernalia and a suspected controlled substance.
- Police responded to a call of possible drug activity in a parked car Dec. 18, 2016 in the 600 block of Jefferson Street. Jack Alexander Fox Baderman, 19, was arrested when police found him in possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana without a prescription. Baderman also had Xanax in his car. He was released to appear in court.
Theft
- A Hinsdale resident who had been storing things in a storage locker at 41 Harrison Place (the Face Loft), said that a $750 chair and a $1,500 bench were stolen from his locker between Dec. 15 of last year and Jan. 14 of this year. There were no signs of forced entry into the locker, which was still secured with a padlock.
Property damage
- A woman living in the 300 block of Claymoor Road said that around 11 p.m. Jan. 22 someone damaged her back patio door and left it ajar. Nothing was reported stolen.
