Back To School: Homer District 33C 2025-26 School Year Calendar

HOMER GLEN, IL — You may hate to hear it, but summer is already half over, and the school supplies are already on the shelves in some stores. In Homer Glen and Lockport, District 33C students will head back to school on Aug. 26.

If you're planning out the school year ahead, here are some dates to know for the 2025-26 school year:

• Aug. 26, first day for students in K-8 (early dismissal)
• Aug. 27, first full day for students K-8, and first day for pre-k students
• Sept. 1, Labor Day, no school
• Sept. 19, half-day school improvement
• Oct. 10, teacher's institute, no school
• Oct. 13, Columbus Day, no school
• Nov. 21, half-day school improvement
• Nov. 24-25, parent/teacher conferences, no school
• Nov. 26-28, Thanksgiving break, no school
• Dec. 19, early dismissal, winter break begins
• Jan. 5, students return from break
• Jan. 16, half-day school improvement
• Jan. 19, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school
• Feb. 4, early dismissal
• Feb. 13, half-day school improvement
• Feb. 16, President's Day, no school
• March 27, early dismissal, spring break begins
• April 7, students return from break
• April 15, early dismissal
• May 22, early release
• May 25, Memorial Day, no school
• May 29, eighth grade graduation, last day for eighth graders
