"Homer 33C is excited to announce the grand opening of our new facility expansion space for the 25-26 school year! The district has been under construction since the summer of 2024, conjoining the existing junior high and middle school in order to create room for its growing student population," Superintendent Craig Schoppe told Patch. "The new facility provides for much-needed additional classroom space, a shared cafeteria, a new gymnasium, and new library space for grades 5-8."

The District previously told Patch that the $28.3 million project will address current space issues at both buildings. The project included additional classrooms, a shared library, a large cafeteria and a gym.
