HellsGate Haunted House Opens Sept. 27

LOCKPORT, IL — HellsGate Haunted House will open for its 2024 season on Sept. 27 in Lockport, running through Nov. 3.

The haunted house is open on weekends through Halloween, as well as some week days. Here are the dates and hours of operation:

• 7 to 11 p.m. on Sept. 27, Sept. 28, Oct. 4, Oct. 5, Oct. 11, Oct. 12, Oct. 18, Oct. 19, Oct. 25, Oct. 26, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2
• 7 to 10 p.m. on Sept. 29, Oct. 3, Oct. 6, Oct. 10, Oct. 13, Oct. 17, Oct. 20, Oct. 23, Oct. 24, Oct. 27, Oct. 30, Oct. 31 and Nov. 3.

Ticket price varies from $40 for general admission if you buy online to $160 for a "hell pass," where the cast of the haunted house will target your friend or family member for their visit, according to the haunted house's website.

There are also some coupon codes offered for specific nights.

Guests for the haunted house park at 301 W. Second St., and will be shuttled to the site itself. Parking lot and bus shuttle are first-come, first-served.

Kids under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, and HellsGate Haunted House is not recommended for kids under 12.
