Homer Glen Plans Back To School, Labor Day Parade

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Village of Homer Glen will again host its back to school/Labor Day parade this year. The 2025 event will be held on Aug. 30, with the parade stepping off at 10 a.m., and a family fun day from 12 to 4 p.m., according to the Village.

The Village is also still accepting applications for organizations and groups who want to be in the parade.

Also this summer; the Village still has two Food Truck Fridays planned. The first event, on Aug. 15, will have a touch-a-truck at Heritage Park from 5 to 8 p.m.

The second event, on Sept. 5, will be an Oktoberfest with live music, according to the Village. That event will also be held at Heritage Park from 5 to 8 p.m.
