Homer Glen Village Trustee Sue Steilen Announces Resignation
Steilen will begin her term as Homer Township Supervisor after winning in the April 1 election.

HOMER GLEN, IL — At the Homer Glen Village Board meeting on April 24, Village Trustee Sue Steilen announced she has submitted her resignation from the Board as she begins her elected term as Homer Township Supervisor.
"As many of you know, I won the election for Homer Township Supervisor, and the results were just certified [April 22], and I have submitted my resignation and I will be serving as Trustee until May 18," Steilen said.
Steilen was elected as Village Trustee in April 2023. She led the Homer Township Reset slate, which ousted several incumbents on the Homer Township Board earlier this month.

Steilen will lead the Township and be joined by newly-elected Township Clerk Tamara O'Brien, Township Assessor Carmen Maurella III, Highway Commissioner John Robinson, Collector Sara Palermo and Trustees Keith Gray, Christina Sievers, Kenneth Marcin and Donald Melody.
