Homer Township Primary: Voters Guide, Mail-In Ballot Info
Early voting has already started, and there is also still time to request a vote by mail ballot.

HOMER GLEN, IL — In Will County, Homer Township voters will be among the only residents in the county who will vote in a consolidated primary on Feb. 25.
According to a news release from the County Clerk's Office, residents of Homer Township will be voting on Republican candidates running for Township Supervisor, Township Clerk, Township Assessor, Township Collector, Township Highway Commissioner and four Township Trustees.
The other primary in Will County will be held for residents in the City of Aurora, who will vote for mayor.

Will County Clerk Annette Parker told Patch that whoever wins the primary will be nominated to appear on the consolidated ballot.

And, since no one will be running against the winners of the primary in the consolidated election, they would win, Parker said. So, the winners of the primary are "in theory" the winners of the consolidated election.
However, "it is the consolidated election that gets certified, so winning the primary doesn’t necessarily certify you as the winner of the entire election process."
