Lockport Girls Volleyball Team Heads To State Finals Tournament

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Township High School girls volleyball team has advanced to the IHSA Class 4A 2024 state finals tournament after its super-sectional win over Downers Grove South.

Lockport defeated Downers Grove South on Monday, 23-25, 25-9, 25-22, according to IHSA.

The team has collected both a regional championship and a sectional championship this season, as it enters the state finals tournament, which will be contested Nov. 15-16 at CEFCU Arena in Normal.

Lockport is set to play Marist, at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The winner of the game will advance to the state championship, and play the winner of the Huntley vs. Benet Academy match-up.
