Lockport Plans Heroes Banner Dedication Ceremony

The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday.

LOCKPORT, IL — The City of Lockport will host a Memorial Day service and a banner dedication ceremony for its 2025 Lockport Heroes Banner program.

The banner dedication ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the City Hall flag pole, 222 E. Ninth St., in Lockport. All are welcome to attend.

The rain location will be in the City Hall gym.

The banners from the Lockport Heroes Banner program will be displayed from Memorial Day through Veterans Day, according to the City.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday held on the last Monday of May each year. The holiday honors and mourns those who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. This year, it falls on May 26.
