Lockport Trick Or Treat Hours For Halloween 2025

LOCKPORT, IL — It's time to start picking your costumes and planning any Halloween-related events, as the holiday is just over a month away.

Halloween falls on a Friday this year. And in Lockport, on Oct. 31, trick-or-treating hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m.

The City said that throughout the evening, residents can keep an eye out for the Lockport Police Department's zombie crew in their decorated squad cars. Officers will be handing out candy and taking photos with trick or treaters.

The City also provided a few safety reminders for Halloween:

• Slow down and be alert in residential areas. Children may move unpredictably.
• Always cross the street at designated crosswalks or corners.
• Ensure costumes fit well to avoid trips and falls.
• Use reflective tape or stickers to increase visibility in the dark.
• Never enter a home or vehicle for candy.
• Inspect all treats and discard anything that is not sealed or looks suspicious.
• If children are trick-or-treating without an adult, plan a familiar route and agree on a curfew.
