Not So Scary Hayride At Dellwood Park Features Treats, Not Tricks

Families can enjoy hay rides, face painting, games, treats and more at the Oct. 12-13 event.

LOCKPORT, IL — If you're looking for a not-so-frightening way to celebrate Halloween, the Lockport Township Park District will host its Not So Scary Hayride on Oct. 12 and 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Dellwood Park, 199 E. Woods Drive.

Designed with young children in mind, the Not So Scary Hayride creates a festive, playful Halloween experience without the frights, the park district said.

Families can enjoy hay rides, live performances by Miss Jamie’s Farm at 2:30, 3:30, and 4:30 p.m., games, face painting, Beanie's Candy Store with treats, s'mores and candy stations, an appearance by the Ghostbusters and more. Costumes are encouraged.
