A great light left our family this week as our mother, Margaret (née Mitchell) McFarland passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025. She was born on December 29, 1932 in Tutwiler, Mississippi and graduated from high school in Turrell, Arkansas.

Margaret married Wayne Wheeler McFarland on November 25, 1953. They lived in West Memphis, Arkansas until 1960, when they moved to Joliet, Illinois. They brought their three sons, who were born in Arkansas, to live in Illinois and subsequently had four daughters (must have been something in the water). Margaret worked for numerous area companies, retiring in 1992. She lost her dear husband in 1994. She was an avid crafter and had many hobbies.
