Stone Repair Work Begins Monday At Messenger Marsh

Signs will be posted announcing the equipment and workers on the trail, but the path will remain open during the project.

Dump trucks and tractors will be on the Spring Creek Greenway Trail at Messenger Marsh preserve beginning Monday, October 26, and for the next couple of weeks.

The equipment will be dropping crushed limestone onto the trail to cover larger rock that was placed on the path earlier to fill in washed out areas.

Signs will be posted announcing the equipment and workers on the trail, but the path will remain open during the project. Trail users should use caution in these areas and slow down.

Messenger Marsh is located on South Bell Road, South of Route 7/159th Street, in Homer Glen.
