Winter Weather On Wednesday: Early Release For District 33C, LTHS

HOMER GLEN, IL — Winter weather advisories have been issued in anticipation of a winter storm on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service said the heaviest snow will be between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Significant travel impacts are possible, especially during the Wednesday afternoon and evening commutes.
Because of the incoming weather, several school districts across the area have announced early releases or e-learning days.

- In Homer Glen, District 33C said students will be released early on Wednesday. The schedule will be the same as a "5-hour day" where students in grades 5-8 will be dismissed at 12:48 p.m. and K-4th grades will be dismissed at 2:05 p.m. Pre-K and 5-hour EC-SI students will not be in session.
- Lockport Township High School has also announced an early release day. Students will follow the early dismissal bell schedule on Wednesday.
