2 Men Charged In Weekend Shootout With Off-Duty Officer: Police
Harvey police said Johnathon Andrews Jr., 25, and Jonheym Andrews, 19, were identified as the pair that shot at an officer Saturday evening.
HARVEY, IL — Two men are facing felony charges in connection to a weekend shootout with an off-duty police officer, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Johnathon Andrews Jr., 25, is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and violating parole. Jonheym Andrews, 19, is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
According to a statement from Harvey police, an officer was in uniform driving to work at around 6 p.m. Saturday when he saw a Ford Fusion driving erratically in the area of 154th and Wood streets.

Police said someone inside the Ford starting shooting at the officer once they saw him, prompting the officer to return fire.
The Ford then ran a red light and hit an SUV, officials said. While the occupants of the Ford initially fled the scene and got away, police later identified them as Johnathan and Jonheym Andrews and arrested them at their residence.

Police said the officer's car had "numerous" bullet holes in the windshield, but the officer was uninjured.
