2 Shot In Homewood, Man In Custody: Police

HOMEWOOD, IL — A 47-year-old man was in custody after police said two people were shot inside a home in Homewood Wednesday night.

Police responded to a house in the 1200 block of Jill Terrace just after 10 p.m. to find a 22-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman who had both suffered gunshot wounds.

The man and woman were stabilized and taken to an area hospital, according to police.

Officials said the 47-year-old man, who is known to the victims, remains in custody and the investigation continues. Police have not announced any charges in the case.

Police said the shooting is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
