2 Shot In Homewood: Police

HOMEWOOD, IL — Two people were shot in the 17500 block of Halsted Street in Homewood late Wednesday, police said.

Police responding to a report of shots fired around 11:40 p.m. found a 21-year-old woman who had been shot. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A second gunshot victim, a 31-year-old man, was found at a nearby hospital shortly after the incident, police said.
