20 Chefs To Face Off In Homewood Fall Fest's Chili Cook-off
The Sept. 21 Fall Fest includes live music, food, and drink. Local artisan vendors will be on-site selling various crafts and unique goods.

HOMEWOOD, IL — The Village of Homewood welcomes residents and visitors to join us for Fall Fest in the heart of downtown Homewood on September 21. The footprint of the event lines the historic Martin Avenue in downtown Homewood.
Fall Fest runs Saturday, September 21, from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free for the duration of the event. Transportation on the Metra Electric is a great option for those visiting from Chicago or surrounding communities.

- 12 to 3 p.m. | DJ Nate Olson (Live karaoke!)
- 12 to 7 p.m. | Free face painting
- 12 to 3 p.m. | Kids craft (sponsored by Art Corner)
- 1 to 7 p.m. | Free rock climbing wall
- 2 to 5 p.m. | Kids craft (sponsored by Homewood Science Center)
- 2 to 3 p.m. | Chili Cook-Off judging
- 3 to 5 p.m. | Open chili tasting
- 4 to 6 p.m. | The Spaniels (Doo-wop 60s hits)
- 4 to 6 p.m. | Pumpkin patch opens
- 7 to 9 p.m. | 28 Days ( 80s, 90s, 2000s Pop Rock)

Festivalgoers will enjoy food, drinks and sweet treats from several classic Homewood eateries such as Aurelio’s, Twisted Q Barbecue, Chick Fil A, and more. Fun treats include Will It Waffle? TJ Kettle Corn and Nuts, Hello Boba, The Emerald Cup and more.
Alcoholic beverages including mixed drinks and craft beer will be available for purchase from Rabid Brewing, Twisted Q, Family Liquors and more. Local artisan vendors will be on-site displaying and selling various crafts and unique goods. The main stage will feature musical performances from live karaoke DJ Nate Olson, R&B doo-wop band The Spaniels Forever and family friendly 80s/90s/00s Pop Rock band 28 Days. For a suggested donation of $5, you can sample chili from the famous Homewood Chili Cook-Off. Over 20 chefs are signed up to compete in one of the biggest chili cook-offs Homewood has ever had!
