26-Year-Old Killed In Overnight Crash: Homewood Police
The driver and two passengers were taken to local hospitals, police said, adding one of the passengers later died of his injuries.
HOMEWOOD, IL — A 26-year-old SUV passenger was killed in an overnight crash in Homewood, according to police.
The victim was identified as Andre Walker of Carbondale, police said.
Emergency personnel responded shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sunday to the 17500 block of Dixie Highway after a gray Chevrolet Trax traveling northbound left the road and hit landscaping rocks and a village sign, according to police.

The driver and two passengers — including Walker — were taken to local hospitals, police said, adding Walker later died of his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, according to police, who ask that anyone with information about the incident report it at 708-206-3420.
