3 In Custody After Woman Attacked, Shot At Hazel Crest Gas Station

HAZEL CREST, IL — Three people were in custody late Thursday afternoon, after a shooting at a Hazel Crest gas station, police said.

Around 3 p.m. Thursday, the woman was getting into her car at Citgo, 175th and Kedzie, when police say she was attacked and shot, according to police.

The suspect fled in a car, police said. A short while later, three suspects were arrested in a neighboring town and transported to Hazel Crest. Police are investigating.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn with injuries to her leg, police said. She was reported as in stable condition Thursday.
