3 Weapons Arrests In Homewood Over One-Week Span: Police
Police arrested and charged three people in connection to illegal gun uses from Jan. 18 - 23, according to officials.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Three people were arrested in Homewood over the past month in connection with illegal weapon uses, police said.
According to officials, the first weapons charge was discovered on Jan. 18 in the 14200 block of Stewart Avenue. Police said Gabrielle Rolark, 30, was arrested and accused of having a loaded gun on her while under the influence of alcohol. Rolark, of Riverside, had a valid FOID card and concealed-carry license but being in possession of a loaded firearm while under the influence is a violation of her credentials.
Rolark was pulled over during a traffic stop at Governors Highway and Caroline Drive. She is facing charges of drunken driving, driving about the speed limit and possession of a firearm while under the influence.

Two days later, a 29-year-old Chicago man was arrested during another traffic stop at 17900 Halsted Street. Police said Tevin Wims has a loaded firearm in his car without a proper FOID card of concealed-carry license. Wims was also accused of driving with a suspended license and expired registration during the Jan. 21 incident.
Rachel Magwood, 37, is facing similar charges after police pulled her over Jan. 23 in the 16100 block of Emerald Avenue. Magwood did not have a FOID card or concealed-carry license but officials said she had a loaded gun in her vehicle along with a suspended license. Magwood was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
