Saturday
- Best of Open Mic Night: The Listening Room at the Twisted Q: If you haven't heard Zak Kerkhoven and Rudy Johnson before, you're in for a real treat. Two of the best performers around. Begins at 8 p.m.
- Homewood Library Used Media Sale: "Stop by for great bargains in books, CD's, DVD's, and more." From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Flossmoor Garage Sale: On the 2200 block of Carroll Pkwy. "Curio cabinet, desks, oak quilt holders. Dorm fridge, foosball table, large trampoline (and more)."
- Homewood Library's Dollhouse Housewarming Party: "Celebrate the grand opening of our new dollhouse by bringing your favorite doll or action figure, listening to stories, and eating some delicious treats!"

- H-F Park District Community Beach Party: "A totally interactive show with hula hoops, bubble machines, limbo and Hawaiian music. Parents and kids come out to conga and listen to great music!"
