Celebrate Cycling With ‘Bike the Dixie’ and ‘Downtown Homewood Classic’
Homewood residents are invited to get out and tour the village via bike in a new event scheduled just before this year's annual Downtown Homewood Classic.
H-F cycling enthusiasts have much to be excited about as Homewood’s Bike the Dixie draws near.
The five-mile tour is scheduled for Sunday, July 7 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and it includes a one-mile car-free stretch through downtown Homewood.
Following the event, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., is The Downtown Homewood Classic—the village’s annual competitive race which draws professional and amateur cyclists from around the midwest. In addition to the race, local merchants will offer special discounts and live entertainment will be provided.
Anyone interested in participating in Bike the Dixie needs to register on the village website ahead of time.
