Monday

Out of this World! Costume Party for Teens at Flossmoor Library: "Dress up as your favorite alien and you could win a prize for Best Alien Costume in the Galaxy. Registration is required; call Youth Services at 708-798-3600 ext 201 or register online."

Tuesday

LEGO Robotics Classes: "Fun project-based lessons with themes such as Amazing Mechanisms, Wild Animals, Play Soccer & Adventure Stories! Students will program, design, create working robotic models,work with simple machines: gears, levers, pulleys, and transmission of motion.Cross-curricular lessons inspire critical thinking,problem solving, and creativity."

Wednesday

K-2 Halloween Party at the Homewood Library: "K-2 Wednesday Storyhour and K-2 Thursday Storyhour will combine to enjoy a Halloween Party at the Homewood Public Library. Children must have attended prior K-2 classes this session."

Thursday

Trunk or Treat and Chili Dinner in Park Forest: Candy and fun for the kids, delicious chili for the grown-ups. 

Friday

Halloween Candy Trade-In: Turn in your bag full of unwanted candy and get a bag of gifts in return!

Saturday

Slow Cooking: Volume One with Chef Kate BradleyAt the Flossmoor Public Library. "Recipes include: traditional pot roast, veggie chili, onion and apricot pork roast, harvest casserole and cranberry cobbler."

Wimpy Kid Book Release Party at the Homewood Library: "Be prepared to be Wimpy-fied! Third through sixth graders will celebrate the release of the new Wimpy Kid book, Hard Luck, with games and trivia. How well do you know your Wimpy facts?"

First Christian Church 51st Annual Spaghetti Dinner: "Please join us as we serve you all you can eat salad, spaghetti and bread. Dessert is also included. Tickets are $10.

Rythem & Blues Review at Wiley's Grill: "Come hear Richie Brandt & Friends play."

Sunday

Johnny Appleseed: The Musical (Children & Family): "This rousing, funny new frontier musical is part rollicking adventure, part inspiring history, and 100% All-American. Presented by the Virginia Repertory Theatre in association with Governors State University Center for Performing Arts."
