HOMEWOOD, IL — Village residents who have not yet purchased vehicle stickers are running out of time and have until the end of the month to make their purchase without being charged a late fee.

All motor vehicles that are registered to a Homewood address must have the sticker affixed to the vehicle’s windshield by May 31. Village officials are reminding local residents that there is a $25 late fee for stickers purchased after that date.

Local residents were mailed an application in April that allows them to purchase the stickers online at the village’s website. Residents are still permitted to purchase the stickers online but will need the PIN that is located on the application to do so.

Stickers are available for purchase at Village Hall, but officials encourage residents to either purchase them online or by using the dropbox that is located on the south side of Village Hall. Applications may also be mailed in along with payment.

New residents who recently moved to Homewood should download the application that can be found here before visiting Village Hall, officials said.
