PARK FOREST, IL — A 33-year-old Park Forest man has been identified as the driver killed in a two-car, head-on crash in Park Forest early Thursday.

On Thursday, Dec. 26, at approximately 6:37 a.m., Park Forest police and fire responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 26th Street and Western Avenue, police said. First responders found one of the drivers—identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner as Rory Jurgenson Jr., 33—unresponsive. Emergency life-saving measures were performed by the officers and paramedics, and Jurgenson was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

An initial investigation revealed that Jurgenson's vehicle had drifted into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with the second vehicle, police said. The driver of the second vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported to a local hospital.
