Flossmoor Hires Former Lincolnwood Assistant Manager: Officials
Jonathon Bogue, former assistant to the village manager in Lincolnwood, will be the new assistant village manager in Flossmoor.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Village officials announced a new hire to fill the previously vacant assistant village manager role, according to a Flossmoor spokeswoman.
Jonathan Bogue, who served as assistant to the village manager of Lincolnwood since 2019, will take over the Flossmoor role immediately. Bogue was chosen from a nationwide pool of 50 candidates. He will serve under Village Manager Bridget Watchel.
"The Assistant Village Manager position in Flossmoor is structured to not only work with residents on community engagement initiatives and oversee communications but also fulfills a number of internal responsibilities for the Village, like personnel policy management and risk management," Watchel said in a press release.

During his time in Lincolnwood, Bogue worked primarily with village personnel and even served on the negotiations team for Union Local 700 members' latest contract. He also served as a liaison on Lincolnwood's Environmental Commission.
According to the Northwestern University graduate, he is most excited to be part of Flossmoor's diverse community.

"I grew up in the south suburbs and have long admired Flossmoor, from its highly rated schools to its vibrant art scene," Bogue told Patch. "I look forward to getting to know the community and being part of an inclusive environment that promotes interaction amongst residents and celebrates traditions and differences."
Bogue has his master's degree in music education from Michigan State University and another master's degree in public administration and policy from Northwestern. Before working his way up from management analyst to assistant manager, he worked in music education in Lincolnwood for almost a decade.
"We're thrilled for Jonathan to join the Village," Watchel said. "And know that his skills and breadth of knowledge for municipal operations will serve our residents well."
