Flossmoor To Hold COVID-19 Vaccination Event Saturday

The village said 300 doses will be available to attendees. Registration is required.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Village of Flossmoor has announced it is hosting a partnered COVID-19 vaccination event on Saturday, April 17.

The event is being held in partnership with Emerge Medstaffing, according to the village. It will take place from 3-8 p.m. at the Flossmoor Village Hall, located at 2800 Flossmoor Road.

The village said 300 shots will be available at the event, and the shot being administered at the clinic will be the Moderna vaccine. Those under age 18 are not approved to receive the Moderna shot.

The village said the second dose will be administered on May 15. Sign up for the event here.

The Cook County Department of Public Health opened another mass vaccination site in Matteson on Tuesday. The site is located at 4647 Promenade Way, and opened on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

All Illinois residents age 16 and older are eligible for the vaccine at this location, after Illinois moved to Phase 2 on Monday.
