Flossmoor Kicks Off Construction Of Dunkin' With Baskin-Robbins
The site, located at 3608 Vollmer Road, could be up and running by November.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Village of Flossmoor is getting a new Dunkin'/Baskin-Robbins, and it could come before the end of 2021. The new restaurant location will be located at 3608 Vollmer Road, and will have a drive-thru.
Flossmoor does not currently have a Dunkin' location, the nearest locations include sites in Homewood, Olympia Fields and Country Club Hills.
Flossmoor Properties LLC., the contract purchaser of the site, will develop a 2,500 square-foot, (50’ x 50’) single-story restaurant on the corner lot of the area that is about 0.643 acres (28,059.8 sq. ft.). The lot is 156.42’ x 179.21’ and it is located at the northwest corner of Vollmer Road and Central Park Avenue. The parcel of land is owned by the village.

According to the site plan, two curb cuts would be provided to the site, with one on Vollmer Road and one on Central Park Avenue. A total of 20 parking spaces will be on site, along with a drive-thru stacking of 10 vehicles at a time. An outdoor seating area with a decorative will be near the entrance to the building at the southeast corner.
According to village documents, on Jan. 7, 2019, the Board of Trustees adopted a resolution to approve the concept plan for the site, saying it would provide residents with an important addition to its commercial offerings, potentially spurring future development of adjacent commercial properties.

On May 20, the Plan Commission held a public hearing for consideration of a Preliminary and Final Plan for a Planned Unit Development and a Special Use Permit for the site. The plan passed through the Board of Trustees in June.
Flossmoor Mayor Michelle Nelson took to Facebook Monday night to show residents the start of construction on site, adding the restaurant may open by November.
"Have you noticed the fencing and equipment at the NW corner of Vollmer Road and Central Park Avenue? That's the humble beginnings of the new Flossmoor Dunkin'," Nelson wrote. "With any luck, Flossmoor will be running on Dunkin' by November. Please exercise caution in that area of town, as there will be increased construction activity."
