FLOSSMOOR, IL — After a deadly shooting in Flossmoor on Halloween weekend, the village partnered with local officials to host a meetup for teenagers who witnessed the violence or felt affected by it.

Flossmoor Mayor Michelle Nelson, Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller and U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly attended the meeting at Wiley's Grill on Sunday. There, officials told Patch numerous young people talked about the traumatic shooting and other instances of violence.
