Flossmoor Seeks Volunteers, Donations for 10th Annual Day of Service
The Day of Service is set for Monday, Jan. 20.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor residents are invited to make a difference in their community, by participating in the Village of Flossmoor’s state-honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, being held this year on Monday, Jan. 20.
This is the 10th year for this signature volunteer event in the South Suburban community. In 2020, the Day of Service was honored as a finalist in the Illinois Governor’s Hometown Service Award program.
"Celebrating 10 years of Flossmoor’s Dr. MLK Day of Service honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the hundreds of volunteers whose dedication has made a lasting impact," says Stephanie Wright, Community Engagement Manager. "Their efforts remind us that service is not just a single day’s effort, but a way of living Dr. King’s dream every day — something that is certainly evident in the Village of Flossmoor."
