Joni Bradley-Scott joined south suburban business agencies on Giving Tuesday to hand out the winter essentials to residents.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor Trustee Joni Bradley-Scott joined south suburban business agencies to distribute over 500 coats, gloves and hats to local residents on Giving Tuesday.
The drive took place at Restoration of Faith Church in Flossmoor where officials from Chamber 57 and the Rich Township Chamber of Commerce gave out the free winter materials to families from Matteson, Olympia Fields, Park Forest, Richton Park, University Park and Flossmoor.
Bradley-Scott told organizers the event was especially important "as the chilling winter weather sets in."

As part of a partnership with Chamber 57, coats and hats were donated to the cause by Burlington Coat Factory. Each Tuesday until Christmas, the department store will be handing out winter essentials with the next giveaway also at Restoration of Faith, a spokesperson for the group said.
Chamber 57 is a non-profit located in Matteson that promotes business and industry throughout the south suburbs.
