Free Classical Music Concert To Benefit Flossmoor Nonprofit

Free Jan. 19 concert is intended to inspire donations to Flossmoor-based Center for Food Equity in Medicine.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — A free classical music concert returns to Flossmoor Sunday, Jan. 19, with donations to benefit a local nonprofit.

The 5th annual concert features four, pre-conservatory student-musicians from the Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago, playing works by Bach, Kreisler, Paganini and Tchaikovsky. This year's performers include Alexandra Dreeson on violin, Noah Kim on piano, Sasha Varchenko on violin, Tristan Zhu on violin, and Sung Hoon Mo on piano.

The event takes place Sunday, Jan. 19, from 4 to 5 p.m., at Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison, in Flossmoor.

Admission is free; monetary donations will be collected to help the Center for Food Equity in Medicine, a Flossmoor-based non-profit organization committed to raising awareness and meeting the nutritional needs for people living with chronic health conditions.
