Masked Man With Gun Robs Homewood Bank: PD

Homewood police were on scene at U.S. Bank, 183rd and Dixie Highway Monday afternoon, police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police and the FBI are investigating after a Homewood bank was robbed Monday afternoon.

At approximately 1:20 p.m. Monday, Homewood Police were called to US Bank, 18300 S. Dixie Highway for a reported bank robbery.

Witnesses told police a male suspect wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, black shoes, a dark mask, and sunglasses flashed a handgun and demanded money from the bank tellers. The suspect is described as a male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches. The suspect fled the scene westbound on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
