Homewood To Begin Building Demolition In August
Construction is set to begin by the end of September, according to the village.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Preparations have begun at the southwest corner of Martin Avenue and Ridge Road in Homewood. The site is due for demolition efforts by the Homewood Public Works Department this month, making way for a new development.
While Homewood prepares for building demolition a safety fence has been installed around the perimeter of the building, closing off the sidewalks along portions of Ridge Road and Martin Avenue, according to the village.
The vacant property is known as the Triumph Building, and a new facility will be put in its place. According to the village, in the coming weeks, additional trees will be removed along Martin Avenue, with temporary partial or complete road closures.
