Homewood-Flossmoor High School Announces New Principal Hire
Clinton Alexander, 41, has previously worked at schools in Country Club Hills, Richton Township, Chicago Heights and Forest Park.

HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — School officials named a veteran south suburban educator as the new principal of Homewood-Flossmoor High School last week.
Clinton Alexander, 41, was officially nominated for the role on Dec. 17. District 233 officials told Patch his contract will be voted on at a Jan. 18 meeting.
Alexander recently worked as the principal of Hillcrest High School since July of 2020. Before his brief tenure at the Country Club Hills school, Alexander was an associate principal of operations at Rich South High school in Richton Park, associate principal of curriculum at Rich East and a teacher at Provisio East High School and Bloom Township High school, where he got his start in education.

Alexander's father was also a teacher at Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights and later became an administrator at the school.
Alexander earned his master's degree in education from Concordia University. School officials told Patch he is also a semester away from earning his doctorate in educational leadership at National Louis University.
"H-F is a very renown and excellent institution," Alexander told the Daily Southtown. "I'm excited to work in such a supportive environment as we continue to push our 21st century learners to prepare for college and careers."
District officials said in an email they hired a firm for the nationwide search which narrowed the candidate pool to seven people from which Alexander was chosen.
