Homewood Man, 20, And Chicago Woman Arrested In Carjacking: PD
The two were arrested Friday, March 1, just days after the carjacking on Elder Road.
HOMEWOOD, IL — A Homewood man is one of two suspects arrested and charged Friday in connection with a Feb. 27 carjacking.
On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at approximately 6 p.m, Homewood police were called to the 800 block of Elder Road for a reported carjacking. Police learned that the victim was seated in his silver Kia Sorento, when he was approached by two armed offenders. One suspect was described as a male wearing a ski mask and armed with a rifle. The second was described as a female, approximately 25 years old, armed with a handgun.
The victim exited his car, and fled on foot while the offenders took his car and fled northbound from the location. The vehicle was later found unoccupied in Chicago.

Police Friday, March 1 arrested Santo Barr, of Homewood, and Katasha Asielue, 28 of Chicago, charging them both with aggravated vehicular hijacking. They appeared at a detention hearing March 3, police said.
