Homewood Man, 25, Shot To Death In Suspected Targeted Shooting: Police

Darion Duncan was found dead in his car with multiple gunshot wounds, police said, and investigators have no suspects at this time.

HOMEWOOD, IL — A 25-year-old Homewood man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in a shooting police said was targeted.

The Cook County Medical Examiners' Office identified the victim as Darion E. Duncan, who died at 1:47 a.m. on Sunday after police said they found him dead in his car. Police had been called to the 17500 block of Dixmoor Frive after getting calls of shots being fired.

Police said that Duncan had multiple gunshot wounds and that they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community due to the targeted nature of the shooting. Police did not release any information about possible suspects and said in a news release that the shooting remains under investigation by the Homewood Police Department and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
