Homewood Village President Richard Hofeld and the village trustees will meet at Homewood Village Hall on Tuesday, April 9 at 6 p.m. Harry Hammock Honored for Longtime Service The village board will honor Hammock for 30 years of service to Homewood's Public Works Department. Street Sweeping Contract Trustees will vote to renew a street sweeping contract with Illinois Central Sweeping of Blue Island. The village is ordering 6 residential and 15 commercial sweeps between May and the end of April next year. East residential sweep costs $7,050.43. The commercial sweeps run $767.26. New Village Cars Trustees will vote to spend $55,568 for two new Ford Explorers.
