Homewood Village Manager Leaves For Crest Hill Job
Jim Marino's last day with the village will be Dec. 17. He has worked in Homewood for over 20 years, officials said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Village manager Jim Marino will be leaving Homewood after over two decades to start a job in Crest Hill, village officials said.
Marino will begin as city administrator of Crest Hill starting in January. His last day at Homewood will be Dec. 17. According to city ordinance, Marino will be in office for as long as Crest Hill Mayor Raymond Soliman is, whose term lasts until 2025.
Prior to coming to Homewood, Marino worked briefly as village administrator for Thornton. He began in Homewood as assistant village manager in 1999 and was later promoted to village manager in 2012.

Homewood Mayor Rich Hofeld told Patch Marino's job will be taken over by Napoleon Hanley, who is currently village administrator of Olympia Fields. Hanley worked for Homewood as an assistant village manager in 2017.
Marino's starting salary in Crest Hill will be $180,000, higher than his latest recorded Homewood salary of $156,190.
