Homewood's Fall Fest Heats Up With Chili, Artisan Goods, Live Music And Family Fun
The town favorite returns Saturday, Oct. 11 to Martin Avenue and Kroner Road.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Downtown Homewood will transform into the ultimate autumn celebration on Saturday, Oct. 11, as the Village of Homewood welcomes back its highly anticipated Fall Fest. From noon to 9 p.m., residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a full day of flavors, music, activities and seasonal cheer in the heart of downtown Homewood between Martin Avenue and Kroner Road.
Homewood Brewing Company will make its debut at this year’s Fall Fest. Festivalgoers will be among the first to sample a special fall-themed brew crafted exclusively for the event. Homewood Brewing Company has quickly become a local favorite, blending community pride with creative, small-batch beers. Its first appearance at Fall Fest marks a new addition to the lineup of music, food, vendors, and family activities that draw thousands each year. Homewood Brewing Company was founded by Carmela Wallace, mother of the late, Grammy-nominated rapper Juice Wrld.

This year’s Fall Fest promises something for everyone, from sizzling competition at the annual Chili Cook-Off to kid-friendly attractions including free face painting, crafts and a towering rock-climbing wall. Eventgoers can also explore and shop a pumpkin patch from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., shop from local and regional artisan vendors and sample delicious bites and treats from Homewood’s favorite restaurants. Adult beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day.

Music kicks off with Flossmoor’s own Third Coast, known for their high-energy mix of blues-rock, soul, funk and R&B. At 3 p.m., the spotlight shifts to Southtown Soul & Groove, delivering powerhouse performances of classic R&B and soul favorites. The night ends on a nostalgic high note with Breakfast Club, known for their fun, energetic renditions of 1980s hits.


The highlight for food lovers is the Chili Cook-Off judging beginning at 2 p.m., followed by open tasting from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for anyone ready to test their spice tolerance and help crown a hometown champion. The Spotlight Performance Academy will receive all proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off and the pumpkin patch. Led by Homewood resident, Carrie Bonaotte, The Spotlight Performance Academy is dedicated to providing high quality performing arts education to children and adults in Homewood and the south suburbs.
