Homewood's 'Rock The Block' Parties Return To Martin Square

HOMEWOOD, IL — They're back!

Homewood residents are invited to again come on out to the downtown for some good, old-fashioned block party fun this summer.

The Village recently announced the return of its Rock the Block parties, after their successful debuts last summer. The block parties will be held in Martin Square the last Thursdays and Fridays of the month throughout the summer.

The first party is planned for June 26, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will feature food, music, games, and fun.

Other block parties are set for July 31 and August 29.

"Enjoy your dinner in downtown Homewood or stop by for dessert," officials said. "Come hang out with your neighbors with a lawn chair and listen to live music. Maybe even dance in the street with our guest DJs!"
