Izaak Walton’s 'Seasons' Calendar Photo Contest Kicks Off For 6th Year
The photo competition calls for photos of weather, landscape, birds, dogs, other animals, and unidentifiable people taken at the preserve.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve has now launched its sixth annual calendar photo competition "Seasons of Izaak Walton/2025," kicking off early in anticipation of summer's picture-perfect moments.
Entrants can now submit a maximum of five entries each—this is earlier than the usual September start-date, to give people additional time to take their photos. It can be a photo of weather, landscape, birds, dogs, other animals, and unidentifiable people. All photographs must be shot within Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve.
High-resolution images may now be submitted via email, with your name, address, and phone number plus a title for the photo to: hiwpcalendarcontest@gmail.com. Entrants should include the month the photo was taken. All photos must be in landscape format (wide not tall), ideally, 8.5 x 11 and watermark free.
